Aangezien Samjhana de telefoongesprekken in het Nepalees doet en vervolgens naar mij (Pim) in het Engels verslag uitbrengt heb ik de gesprekken voor het gamak ook in het Engels uitgewerkt.

Now during the lockdown people are almost forced and because of that very focused on farming in their own fileds. While working they can talk with people working in the fields nearby but nobody is meeting closely. Also their church is closed from the cristian comunity in Laprak. Sometimes trucks are coming to deliver the most needed material like rice and spices like salt.
Prem Sir from Goiry, SoluKhumbu
In a small village like Goiry everybody will help each other. We are used to not only eat rice as we here can only grom patato’s, corn, wheat and some vegtables. We are quit self suporting on food. The more luxuries products are not in stock as moch as before but this doesn’t cause any problems. We are all still farming and there are no specific health problems as related to the virus.
Narayan Khanal from Korlha, Gorkha
People are not meeting their friends or family in other places of their village. All families stay in their own house and just talk to the neigbours. The villagers started utilising all the availeble places to make farming fields and planting of corn has started.
Students Rabina and Ganga from Uiya, studying in Arughat
All is fine at the village. The girls are working and learning from their computer. There are no sign of sickness or viral problems as with the corona in the village. People are farming and there is enouph food for all families.
Soon more from their story.

All family members are fine. Yam is not able to get his Uric Acid medicines at the moment due to shortage. We told we would try to send it as soon as the lockdown is over.

In Lower-Dolpo there are not much changes but people are keeping distance of each other. The snow just melted but farming season at 4000 meter is not yet starting as it is still cold. The school is closed.
